About Me
Hey. I’m Nicole. Welcome to my blog!
I never actually thought I’d start one of these, but after spending a couple of years immersing myself in the glory that is the food blog world, I thought I’d start my own to see if I could add something to the mix. Between cooking, baking, and restaurant write-ups, I hope that what I have to say is meaningful and inspiring for others to read. I absolutely love sharing restaurant recommendations based on places I’ve tried, and find it so wonderful to write about recipes that’ve worked well and which might benefit others.
Through this blog, I’m discovering so much about my writing style, about food photography (or, rather, how little I know about it), and how gratifying it is to share the food I’ve made with others. I consider this a fulfilling process, and hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy creating food and sharing photos and stories related to it.
When I’m not cooking, eating or working a less than exciting 9-5 job, I also study classical voice (ie: opera) and perform in ensembles throughout New York City, where I live. You might also find me eating out with friends, jogging through Central Park on weekends, and wandering around grocery stores (especially Fairway and Zabar’s!)
I’ve had a few people question how I came up with the title of my blog. Truffle honey, which is glorious (it’s literally honey, which is sweet, of course, infused with truffle, which is earthy, fragrant, and completely delectable), is an ingredient that has intrigued me so very much over the past several months. It’s wildly interesting and tastes absolutely perfect on a slice of baguette with a piece of bleu cheese. The experience of eating this combination and enjoying the wonders of Paris while picnicking on the lawn by the Eiffel Tower last summer was one of the most blissful moments of my life.
Feel free to message me at trufflehoneyblog[at]gmail[dot]com if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
Enjoy!
